Freeing the Qubit for Art

Sinopse

We will present an overview of our approaches to using embedded chips and other techniques for adding simulated qubits to synthesizer chains in order to allow responsive and interactive explorations of quantum music. We will cover the basis of our approach, explain the circuits that we have used, and discuss some of the finer points and challenges that were overcome. We will also give some insight into our recent work on entangled instruments, to appear in "Advances in Quantum Computer Music", World Press 2025. 

 

Bio

Mark has a background as a professional violinist as well as a PhD in pure mathematics, and has worked in emerging technology for the last few years, culminating in co-founding Quantum Village, a 501c3 nonprofit organisation that brings quantum technology to new audiences and communities and creates new approaches to QTech in interesting and sometimes unusual ways.
